Planned Power Cut in Moonstone/i24 + IOF prep and reboot

As part of the ongoing expansion and development of our campus, the construction team will need to perform maintenance on the ISTA campus power grid on September 10th in the following buildings – that also affect IOF services

• Building I24 (Moonstone Lab Building):
  • No normal power supply (white sockets).
  • UPS and emergency backup power will work
  • Working in the microscope rooms will not be possible
    
• Building C03 (Multi Purpose Hall):
  • No normal power supply (white sockets)..
  • During this time, C03 will be supplied with backup power. The UPS system will also fail after a few minutes.

IOF can not risk to run the advanced machine park in Moonstone building during this maintenance.

Consequently, IOF service will be affected in the following manner:

• September 9: IOF prepares the system in Moonstone building for power-cut: systems will be blocked
• September 10: IOF system check systems in Moonstone building after the power cut: system will be made available after checks are completed

IOF is planning a facility cleaning to optimally utilize the downtime.
