Please find below the agenda for the upcoming introduction of the Impetux Sensocell Optical Trap system.

The introduction takes place between Dec. 16th and Dec. 18th, and is for selected trainees only!

On Dec. 19 we will host the Impetux seminar and demonstration (remote mode) about the system, open to the general public.

Morning + early afternoon, schedule to agree with users Groups 1&2
Trainings Session 5: tests, review trails & explore

  • Groups:
    Group 1: Imaging and Optics Facility
    Group 2: Representatives of Heisenberg, Loose and Sixt Scientific groups.
  • Sessions 1 and 2:
    General introduction: assembly of chambers (sample preparation) and model applications.
    For this session the materials will be provided by Impetux.
  • Test applications (session 3):
    Group 1: H2B.8 variant increases nuclear flexibility in response to mechanical forces in the cell.
    Group 2: Intracellular rheology – myoplasm viscosity/rigidity (Heisenberg)  • beads and colloids in assemblies of in vitro reconstituted protein filaments (Lose) • Cell dynamics driven by motile objects (Sixt)
  • Location: The practical sessions will take place at the new Crest Optics X-Light V3 setup, room i04.UG.019.
