DEMO: Nikon TIRF, 23-26 March, 2021

The Bioimaging Facility at IST Austria is hosting a demonstration of a Nikon Ti2-LAPP TIRF system on March 23rd-26th, 2021. The TIRF setup will be temporarily available at our Nikon Ti2-2 setup, in room i04.u1.015.

Specifications summary:

  • TIRF
    • Two independent TIRF units for sequential Multicolor TIRF or simultaneous 2 color TIRF
    • Precise alignment of the critical angle per wavelength
    • Easy TIRF calibration and visual confirmation of TIRF angle
    • Gradation ND filter for a very even TIRF illumination
    • Available Laser Lines for TIRF: 488, 561 and 640
  • FRAP
    • FRAP device for photobleaching and photoactivation/conversion experiments
    • Free control of stimulation ROI(s) shape, size and number
    • Power and wavelength adjustment for different ROI groups
    • Available Laser Lines for FRAP Device: 405, 488, 561 and 640
  • Possibility for simultaneous TIRF imaging and photobleaching
  • Focus Perfected
    • Real time focus correction with the Perfect Focus System (PFS)
  • Cameras
    • Up to two Hamamatsu ORCA Flash 4.0 cameras for simultaneous dual color imaging
  • TIRF Objectives:
    • CFI Apochromat TIRF 60XC Oil, NA 1.49, WD 0.16 – 0.07 mm
    • CFI Apochromat TIRF 100XC Oil, NA 1.49, WD 0.16 – 0.09 mm
    • CFI Plan Apochromat Lambda 100X Oil, NA 1.45, WD 0.13 mm
