Demo: Leica SP8 – Falcon (FLIM), March 18-22 all day

We will have the Leica SP8 FALCON (1) with white light laser (WLL) and FLIM detector & Thunder wide filed imagers (2) for a demonstration at IST Austria

SEMINARS, Tuesday March 19:

  1. 10:00-11:00, Mondi 1 – SP8 FALCON Fluorescent Life Time Imaging
  2. 11:00-12:00, Mondi 1 – Optical clearing with Thunder

The Leica demonstration will have 3 devices that can be tried out during your own hand on session!

  1. Leica SP8 Falcon  with Fluorescence Life Time Detector →sign up in our Falcon-doodle
  2. THUNDER Imager 3D Live Cell & 3D Cell Culture  → sign up here Thunder-doodle
  3. THUNDER Imager Model Organism → sign up here Thunder-doodle

1. Leica SP8 Confocal + FALCON:

(FAst Lifetime CONtrast), Fluorescent Life Time Imaging detector (FLIM) detector and Wite Lite Laser

The SP8 confcal comes with an pulsed white lite laser (WLL) and FALCON that allows for time-gated acquisition to remove the auto-fluorescence. In addition, this supercontinuum white light source can be tuned with a bandwidth of only 1-3 nm, thereby allowing to excite (or photo-convert/activate) your fluorophore with the optimal wavelength. more information: Leica SP8 Falcon

2. Thunder wide field Imager:

In addition, we will also have the opportunity to demonstrate the Thunder Imager. THUNDER Imagers with Computational Clearing are suitable for high-speed, high-quality imaging of thick, 3-dimensional specimens. We will be able to demonstrate 2 THUNDER imaging systems:

The THUNDER Cell Culture Imager is equipped with heating chamber but no CO2 available (consider adding CO2 compensating media to your sample). If you are interested to test the systems, please sign up in the additional doodle. We are eager to let you try out this technology and collect your feedback.
